Founded in 2003 by Fern Penn, rosebud was the first store in the United States to offer women's designer clothing, accessories, home accessories and art, all of which were designed and manufactured in Israel.

For more than 15 years, Fern traveled to Israel several times each year. 

She scouted out the fashion scene and always found the newest designs, which she sold at rosebud - first in Soho and then on Madison Avenue.

During Fall 2018, rosebud fashion tour began bringing groups to Israel to meet, shop, and explore the fashion and design scene in Tel Aviv, Jaffa and Jerusalem.
